The Military Spec Army Tents are hip-roof marquee-style tents in Olive Drab Green, available in 5 x 5m and 5 x 10m sizes, designed to meet demanding conditions and military specifications.

Materials:

Tenting:

• Roof & Walls: Polyester Ripstop Canvas (Fire Retardant, UV-resistant, rot/mold-proof, waterproof, colorfast)
• Groundsheet: Polyvinyl Chloride (PVC)
• Mosquito Gauze Walls: Code 50 shade netting (Monofilament yarns only) to SANS 1703 standards

Material Weights:

• Roof: 430-470 g/m²
• Walls: 300-350 g/m²
• Groundsheet: 530-570 g/m²
• Mosquito Gauze Walls: 120-130 g/m²

Poles:

• Material: Galvanized mild steel tubing
• Bracing Lines: Chain and cable combination (corrosion-resistant steel with an oblong link for pegs and a stub-end thimble on the tent side)

Pegs:

• Reinforced steel, galvanized

Construction:

• Free-standing Roof with vents
• 5 x 5m Tent: 4 detachable walls, 12 side wall poles, 1 center pole
• 5 x 10m Tent: 6 detachable walls, 18 wall poles, 2 center poles
• Water Resistance: All seams stitched and taped to prevent leaks, wall poles are watertight sealed
• Groundsheet: Full-coverage groundsheet included
• Mosquito Gauze Walls: Included
• Pegs and Hammer: Reinforced steel pegs and a 5-pound hammer with a wooden handle supplied for setup
• Water Column: 500 mm minimum height

Stowage:

• Supplied in a flame-retardant and rot-proof canvas/PVC bag, fastened with touch-and-close fasteners (SANS 1823 standard)

Fire Performance:

• Materials are flame-retardant and certified to resist burning or ignition (BS 7157 compliant)
• Treated to prevent sustained combustion and minimize smoke or toxic fume emissions during fire incidents

Corrosion Prevention:

• All steel components are hot-dip galvanized (SANS 121 compliant) for corrosion protection in harsh environments
